Heart Disease is the nations number one killer and 66% of Americans are overweight. The lack of physical activity doubles the risk of heart disease and stroke. This risk can be reduced by walking for as little as 30 minutes a day.
We encouraged everyone to lace up their sneakers for this years 2011 Omaha-Council Bluffs Start! Heart Walk on May 21, 2011 at Aksarben Village-Stinson Park (67th & Center). You’ll enjoy a fun-filled morning to support the American Heart Association’s mission of building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
So mark your calendars for a fun and educational experience and take a stand against heart disease all while helping save lives!
